CAPEU Commits to Promote and Transform Research and Best Practices of Community Development

As an effort to expand the collaborative network with various educational institutions in the Asia-Pacific region, Universitas Malikussaleh (Unimal), represented by the rector, Dr Herman Fithra, took part in the Consortium of Asia-Pacific Education Universities or CAPEU Forum held in Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia. CAPEU is a non-profit organization whose members are higher education institutions in Asia-Pacific countries that have commitment to promote, engage, transform and integrate ideas, findings, best practices, research, publication and community development. Unimal is one of the members of the consortium.

The event that was carried out on 2-3 March 2019 at Le Meredien Hotel was attended by several higher educational institutions from Indonesia including Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung, Universitas Sriwijaya Palembang, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, and Universitas Malikussaleh (Unimal) Lhokseumawe. Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Mokhammad Farid Maruf, PhD also joined the forum.
